Played on a smaller court with paddles and a lightweight perforated ball, it’s perfect for all ages and skill levels. From quick rallies to friendly matches, pickleball is a game that guarantees fun, laughter, and plenty of movement.
A Brief History of Pickleball
The sport was created in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, Washington, when three fathers invented a game to keep their kids entertained during summer. Using improvised paddles, a plastic ball, and a badminton net, they started what is now an international sensation. As for the quirky name, legend says it came from the family dog, Pickles, who loved chasing the ball!
