La Callejoneada is a parade and street party on the Centro Histórico. But, starting just before the parade, the Ángela Peralta Theater holds every year a unique Day of the Dead celebration.
From special homages to famous Mexican actors and singers, a multi-disciplinary theatrical show is performed on the stage of the Angela Peralta Theater.
Often, three or four performances are open to the public, the tickets are free courtesy of Cultura and the hard work of countless local people that contribute to the production.
Later, people celebrate life with the Ccallejoneada in the Mazatlán Centro Histórico!

The public celebration of Día de los Muertos begins the evening of November 1st, in the heart of the Centro Histórico, the Plaza Machado.
At about 8pm wildly costumed crowds begin a festive parade (Callejoneada) through the Centro Histórico. Catrinas are a common sight, and skull facial makeup is very much the look.
