El Cid Resorts - Reviews

“We recently had an excellent week at Marina El Cid Mazatlán. 4 guys enjoyed food, drinks, fishing, golf, massages, the pools… a great time. You can’t go wrong visiting this resort. The staff is excellent and personable. Good entertainment. The food and drinks were superb. Rooms were excellent.” @Roberto814. February 2021. Grand Forks, North Dakota.

“This was a great place to stay friendly and clean I would definitely return again. They provide free Covid testings and one free shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel. Everything was sanitized properly and they followed all the CDC guidelines.” @mirimjb10. February 2021. New York City, New York.

“Wonderful trip. Many precautions were taken for Covid-19, including temperatures and sanitizer at restaurants and entrances, spraying of luggage and furniture, wearing of masks by all employees. Nice beaches, pools, and wonderful choices in the restaurants.” Mary B. February 2021. Fort Wayne, Indiana.

“Friendly staff. Staff ready to assist with dinner recommendations and reservations. Great food and beverages. The resort is clean, Covid protocols are strictly adhered to, making guests feel safe. We would highly recommend El Cid Marina Beach Hotel.” @bigred1816. February 2021.

“Our vacation was absolutely perfect! The resort did an amazing job keeping everything clean and sanitized! Our favorite experience was the spa! Damion booked our appointment and was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We saw him often throughout the week and he always had a smile on his face! The food was amazing. The Mediterranean restaurant was our favorite. Our friends swam with dolphins and we did the snorkeling excursion. We spent an entire week and I’m already ready to go back!” @Kendra3660. February 2021. Grand Rapids, Michigan.

“Our stay was great. I traveled with my 3 teenage kids and they loved it! The food was really good. Our favorite waiter was Gerardo so it was nice that we got him for several meals. Restaurants close earlier than I would have liked though. The pools were all nice. My kids liked the slide and the cliff jumping area. The staff was perfect. The beach had more seaweeds than some of the other resorts we have been to but we dealt with it. There’s a dolphin swim area at the resort for an extra fee and that was fun. There is entertainment every night. We liked the fire dancers and the 80’s retro night the best. We never had trouble getting beach towels or pool chairs.” Jessica A. February 2021. Laingsburg, Michigan.

“Certainly the nicest property we have visited in 35 years of time-sharing. Excellent accommodations; the resort was well maintained, efficient and spotless. Great food in several on the site restaurants. Nicely situated on the beach. Above all, the staff was simply superb at every level, just the best. Overall, a wonderful vacation; I highly recommend this venue. @hwimmer48. February 2021. Atlanta, Georgia.

“We had an excellent stay at Ventus El Cid. Parts of the resort were closed due to low occupancy (Covid) but even with the closures, there were plenty of places to eat and drink. This is our 3rd stay at Ventus at Marina, it is always an amazing vacation.” @virgilgehring. February 2021. Spokane, Washington.

“The resort did an incredible job catering to the safety and personal needs of the guests during this difficult time. We felt safe the entire time and the staff was great about incorporating many safety procedures to ensure everyone’s safety. We will be returning for sure!!” Felicia F. February 2021.

“We had a great time at El Cid La Ceiba. The staff was amazing and made us feel at home. Julio, the activities director was the best. We were able to do many fun activities. Ariel and Armando were really great too. We will definitely be back!” @Excursion72756. February 2021.

“The staff are wonderful. They attend to every need and sometimes even when I didn’t know I needed something. The snorkeling right in front of where we lounge is very nice. Cannot wait until our next visit!” @kyheulon. February 2021.

“Wonderful little resort with the best staff! Have stayed here many times, and it feels like home every time we return. Within walking distance of several restaurants, and bars, and a short cab ride to town. Hope to return soon!” @kimmartin999. February 2021. Robins, Iowa.

“Had so much fun. Great food, great golf, great service, and food. Totally great time. I love Mazatlán. The city has so much to offer and staying at El Cid makes it comfortable and even better. I love taking friends and family and they love it too.” @debmckenery. February 2021.

“El Cid Resorts are beautiful and have staff who are extremely helpful and make you feel at home. I would recommend El Cid Resorts to anyone traveling to Mexico. I travel to Mazatlan several times a year on vacation and love it there.” Ann B. January 2021. Stonewall, Louisiana.

"I have been to El Cid several times over the last 8 years and have enjoyed my time. The staff is always helpful and polite. I enjoyed the safety measures due to the pandemic with constant cleaning of surfaces, disinfecting of new guests' luggage, temperature checks, and providing hand sanitizers when entering each building and restaurant. I do with their was more enforcement of mask-wearing when walking around indoors." @slm552. November 2020.

“I have visited El Cid Castilla every January for the past 7 years. I've reviewed this resort in the past but felt that I should post an update due to the impact of COVID on the travel situation in Mexico. Basically, I can state that traveling to Mazatlan is extremely safe. In fact, I believe that it is far safer than doing similar activities in my home state of Minnesota. The El Cid staff take safety precautions very seriously, yet it is not oppressive in any way. Mask wearing is expected when in any of the buildings (except when eating or drinking) and temperatures are taken when entering the resort and going into the restaurants. Hand sanitizer is plentiful and its use is expected. All staff maintain a professional distance and wear masks and/or face shields. Overall, I felt extremely safe when at the resort. In general, I also felt very safe when off the resort in Mazatlan. Citizens were very good about wearing masks, even when walking outside, and all store and restaurant workers were as well. Again, temperature checks and hand sanitizer are the norms. I was extremely comfortable wherever I went.” Chris C. January 2021. Lakeville, Minnesota.
