Are strollers available for rent at the resort?

Unfortunately, we do not offer that service at the hotel.

Is it possible to have connecting rooms?

Your request for connecting room will be noted and we will do our best to accommodate you, however, confirmation is based on availability at the time of check-in. 

What is included in the All-Inclusive and Elite All-Inclusive Plans?

      The All Inclusive Plan includes:

  • *Breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • *Draft Beer, domestic and imported house drinks including table wine, beer, soft drinks, juices and water. (Selection of the house)
  • Waiter service at the pool and beach area.
  • Room service from 7:00 to 22:00 hrs. According to the menu set to quarters
  • Use of tennis courts, racquets and balls.
  • Fitness area
  • Beach and pool activities
  • One hour free snorkeling equipment per day.

*Note:   An additional fee applies for dishes that include lobster, shrimp, and fine cuts as well as Premium brand beverages.

       The Elite All Inclusive Plan includes:

  • Besides the Inclusions All Inclusive Plan described above, this plan includes:
  • Room overlooking the sea
  • Preferential allotment within the category reserved --All food in our restaurant menu.  (Restriction: Lobster).
  • All drinks (domestic and international) --Bathrobes in the room.

 Are ‘Day Passes’ available for guests to visit the property for the day if they are attending weddings and other special events?

Yes, Day Passes are available for a fee and can be obtained at the hotel’s front desk.

What is the smoking policy at El Cid Resorts?

All guest rooms are non-smoking although specific outdoor areas have been designated for smoking.

How can restaurant reservations be made at the hotel?

Advance reservations are not required.

What is the dress code at the restaurants?

The dress code is casual.

What is the minimum age to book a room? 

The minimum age to book at La Ceiba is 18 years old.

What is the fee for Internet / WIFI at the resorts?

Free Wi-Fi is available in the public’s areas. Unfortunately, WiFi is not available within the guest rooms.

What type of identification is required to enter México?

A valid current passport for all travellers.

Is it safe to eat and drink the water in México?

El Cid Resorts has its own purification plant, as do many restaurants in the main tourist areas, making the water safe to drink. Also, purified water and bottled beverages can be purchased in most small markets.

Is an electric adapter necessary?

The electric current in México is the same as in the United States and Canada.

May I use US or Canadian dollars (cash) to pay for merchandise or services?

As of September 14, 2010, a new policy has been enacted affecting cash payments in foreign currencies. Please note that during your next visit to México, cash payments can only be made in Mexican Pesos. All other payment methods (credit/debit cards and travelers checks) will still be accepted where indicated.

El Cid Resorts maintains “exchange bureau” facilities in all of our six hotel properties located in Mazatlán, Riviera Maya, and Cozumel where you may exchange up to $1,500 USD per person in cash to Mexican pesos. We also have ATMs within our properties for withdrawals, and there is no restriction as to the amount of cash in Mexican pesos that a person can withdraw.

How does one dial to Cozumel from the United States and Canada?

Can I use my credit cards?

Most restaurants and larger stores will accept VISA, Mastercard, or American Express. Many smaller businesses will not so be sure to ask in advance.

What is Cozumel like?

It is the largest island in México, covered with low jungle vegetation and a fabulous eco-culture bordered by miles of deserted beaches. It is well known for some of the world’s best scuba diving and incredible duty free shopping.

What is the scuba diving like in Cozumel?

Cozumel is a world renowned destination made famous by Jacques Cousteau for its crystal clear waters (about 80 degrees F) and abundant sea life.

What is the weather like in Cozumel?

In the summer it tends to be quite hot and humid and in winter time the weather is ideal with ocean breezes.
